Horn & Bone
The peculiarity of horn consists in its unique color shades and strong colors. Bone in contrast provides lighter and more uniform tones.
Both materials are from Watussi cows, typical of West Africa.
Ebony & Shells
The finest dark ebony is derived from the trees of the sub-Saharan region. From there come also the small light-coloured shells, which were formerly used as money by the local population.
Glass beads & Brass
The glass beads are from Ghana, the brass from Ghana's Ashanti and ancient brass is bought from the Tuareg.
Many creations are embellished with silver or gold details and combined with fine leather or natural rubber straps.
ABOUT

Isidore Domingo
Born in the West African country Benin, Isidore Domingo emigrated to Germany. He lives in Berlin for many years, but always kept linked with his African origins. When travelling to his homeland, he got inspired to transform its raw materials and handcraft traditions into modern design.
He started to search and select local artisans from Ghana, Benin, Togo, Mali and Burkina Faso to work with him. This collaboration led to his first collection in 2009.
In spring 2010 he founded his company "Isidore Domingo Design" in Berlin and since then sells his creations at major European trade fairs.
Every year he presents new stunning designs, not seen before in Europe.
Social Engagement
An essential aim of the company is to keep alive the great traditions of West Africa. We promote the craftsmanship passed on over generations and encourage new artisans to continue this heritage.
For many African families this leads to a concrete improvement in the quality of life and self-esteem. In addition, id-Design creates revenues for the continent trough its activities as the jewelry is sold outside Africa.
